More giving ... another freebie!

I just recently joined the Creative Team of Alexis Design Studio (a fabulous new artist I found, who also sells exclusively at The Digi Chick!)  Her kits are full of rich, lush textures, and so many flowers and butterflies - it almost makes me giddy with pleasure, thinking about working with these lovely products.  My first experience with Alexis Design Studio was her kit

NOVEMBER RAIN

which I purchased on sale during Digital Scrapbook Day back in early November.  Then my surgeries intervened, and kept me from scrapping from November 18 until December 5.  Oh, my ... that seemed like such a long time!

At my first opportunity I combined Alexis Design Studio NOVEMBER RAIN with a template from Southern Serenity Designs by Amber Morrison WOODLAND  and created this layout with photos I took on our trip to Colorado in October.

I loved the slightly "messy" look of the paper (not too grungy, just a little) and the flowers and foliage were heavenly!  After I completed my layout and posted it in the gallery at The Digi Chick, I contacted Alexis to let her know.  (We both are on the Creative Team for Sherwood Studio)  Our conversation led us to our current relationship ... I do specialty advertising for her new store at The Digi Chick.

I've worked with several of her other kits now (oh, my ... I'm in my "happy place!")  Today I have a freebie for you featuring her kit VINTAGE WINTER

My layout featuring Alexis Design Studio VINTAGE WINTER

I used a photo mask from Jen C Designs BLENDABLES templates.  I love how I was able to position the tree in the photo with Blake, with the blended tree (which is in a different photo!)  and have such a beautiful transition from one to the other!  (a splendid ... but lucky ... happenstance! I didn't plan it, it just realized how much I loved it after it happened!)  I've worked with this combination of photos and several kits since I took these pictures at Christmas 2011.  I think this may be my favorite variation on the theme!  Blake did a fabulous job of modeling for me!  Thanks, Blake - love you!   To create my frame/cluster freebie for today's giveaway, I returned to my layered file for this layout and eliminated all the parts that I didn't need, leaving me with the frame, transparent mat, and cluster.  I re-worked all the shadows and beveling, so there are internal shadows in the *.png but none on the outside edges!
